Champ Show Report

Michael and I were very proud and honoured to judge the show and thank the committee for the invitation and the exhibitors for making our day both enjoyable and memorable.
It is always at the top of your wish list to judge a breed club championship show but this one was extra special for both of us as it was not only our local club but also one we have had close connections with since we first became members in 1978 at the time we had our first Rottweiler. We both feel privileged to have served both the club and breed since that date and hope to continue to do so for many years to come. Thank you everyone.

1st Lee & Holmes Gardaw Kimi Rakkonen AVEC Leebee JW ShCM In really good condition for 7.5 not showing his age at all. Excellent type overall with well-shaped dry head with dark eye and neat ears. Level top line on good legs and feet, moved with drive and purpose and good colour.
2nd Perks Upend Just Junior At Dromnagus 2 months younger than one and lighter in build, longer cast and not in his best jacket. Feeling his age on the move. Dry head with dark eye. Good legs and feet. Colour and markings ok.

Minor Puppy Dog
 
1st Hunting’s Chapmeek Johnnie Walker Large substantial puppy for age of 8 months and the only one in the class to move true coming and going. Dry head with correct ear set medium eye colour and mouth pigment. Excellent colour, markings, bone, feet, body with acceptable tail. Moved well.
2nd Chandler’s Chapmeeks Robin Hood Smaller set than his brother and with a darker eye good overall, mouth colour could be darker. Straight legs on good feet. Would prefer a little more rear angulation. Acceptable tail. Handler needs to calm down to get the best out of him.

1st Brewin’s Steigen Everybody Out For Renosar 11 months old very Germanic type small, compact and very active, just needs to settle. Dry head with dark eye, dark mouth pigment, and Ear set ok. Slightly over angulated at rear, feet could be tighter. Good colour and moved with purpose and drive. BP & BPIS
2nd Rowarth’s Westlodge The Magician At Darkarmar 11 months old stronger, larger built frame but not as clean across the shoulders, as I would like. Good type in head dark eye and mouth pigment. Good feet and legs, bone, top line and overall shape. Moved well.

1st Benstead’s Carsal Gringo 15month old male of good type substantial but not overdone. Clean overall with dry well shaped head, good colour, legs feet and shoulders. Pigment could be darker and would prefer a little more angulation at rear.
Moved with purpose and drive.
2nd Horton’s Rostock Ring of Fire JW 14 month old male of good clean overall type but would prefer more rear angulation. Well-shaped dry head with med eye and pigment. Substantial body with good reach of neck with level top and underlines.
Moved well.

1st Lee’s Chapmeeks Jamaican Rhythm Avec Leebee JW 20 month old male of excellent type. Dry head with med eye and pigment. Strong legs on tight feet. Well-angulated front and rear. Strong back, clean across the shoulders moved with purpose and drive.
2nd Gibbard & Watts Jezeve Gob Stopper JW 18 month old male of excellent type.
Dry well shaped head with dark eye and mouth pigment. Good legs and feet but not as clean across the shoulders as one. Good body and movement.

1st Gibson’s Diesters Vice Versa JW 18 month old male. Colour needs to be darker. Level top and line. Moved with purpose and drive. Well-shaped head dark mouth medium eye. Straight front, tight feet. Well-angulated and moved out well.
2nd  Trueman & Brownridge Jezeve Sherbet 18 month old male. Same remarks apply except for head. Dark eye, med pigment. Expressive head spoilt by wrinkle. Moved well

1st Fuller’s Wolfbass Akino At Kylamie 2.1/2 year old large impressive male, excellent type and structure. Sound limbs, dry head, med eye, darkish mouth pigment, gums pinkish patches, and Rich tan markings. Tight feet, level top line, moved with drive.
2nd Rowarth’s Darkarmar Curved Air JW 2.1/2 year old male with equal remarks as one but without the rich tan marking. Dry well shaped head, dark eye, and good bone. Darkish mouth, level top line, string back, moved well.

1st Clark’s Dortmund Fast ‘N’ Furious 3-year-old Typey medium sized male of good construction, tight feet, and good colour. Dry head, dark eye, and med pigment mouth. Moved true for and aft. Good bone and substance,
2nd Heald’s Rottstaff Maximus 3.1/2 year old male larger type than one. Well bodied on good legs and feet. A touch heavy round the shoulders, which spoilt, overall balance. Good head with dark eye. Rich tan, tight feet. Strong back and underline, moved well.
3rd Edward’s Winpenny Centurian

Limit Dog
 
1st Rowe’s Jordancourt Ice Master 6 year old. May have been the oldest in the class but of Excellent overall type and structure? Excellent head with dark eye, strong body with good feet and legs. Level top line, well angulated, one of a handful of dogs that moved true for and aft. Held top line on the move of the old type, strong and honest. Unfortunately disappointed he did not go any further as he just lost interest and concentration in the challenge.
2nd Leask’s Verenka Maximilloin At Granjolea JW ShCM 3 year old male excellent overall type and balance with complete movement. Excellent head and eye, strong top line and movement. Would prefer a cleaner line across the shoulders to complete the picture.

1st Rattray’s CH Varenka Just Joe Almost 5-year-old male just reaching his peak on condition and maturity. Lucky for him his handler left the ring enabling him to really pull himself together and looked stunning up on his toes. Excellent overall type. Excellent head and dark eye BLACK mouth to die for. Excellent clean overall type with level top and underline. Tight feet on strong legs, moving with drive and purpose. Not the biggest but made up for it with buckets of attitude. CC & BIS
